    Description

    Wonderful African handmade woven plant fiber and leather  Fulani cattleman's hat for sun and rain protection.  Very nice  condition, was only used as wall decor, came from a Mennonite  family who traveled to Africa as Missionaries. She used these and many other items from her travels to decorate in her home. The hat is clean and the chin strap in fully intact. These conical hats are used  as cultural tribal objects  of the Fulani peoples of West Africa. Diameter is 15 1/2", conical top is 6 1/2" high.
